The Vertical Pool does Not have swim-against jets which can intimidate the wounded and elderly. Considerable coordination is required for that type of device. This pool takes a passive approach allowing the user to dictate the intensity of movements during immersions.

   - A tapered 2-3” thick foam cover has an R-10           to R-12 insulation rating.

• Overall outside dimensions: 9' 4" long (add 2' 8" for the steps) x 6' 2" wide x 6' deep, with 3' of that depth in-ground for stability and 3' above-ground (kitchen counter height).
• The hole for the lower tub in-ground is 5' long x 3' wide x 3' deep. Typical installation requires about 40 cubic feet displaced to accommodate the lower tub. 
• The uppermost step is 18" below the top of the pool. Using the railing, the user must be able to lift or bend their legs over that height one at a time.  Another method of entry is to sit on the side wall above the skimmer and pivot into the pool, one leg at a time. If the pool cannot be accessed by these two methods, a Hoyer lift may be necessary (not included).
• Water depth in the deep part is approximately 5' 4" unoccupied, and up to 5'7" occupied
• Total water capacity under 900 gallons.
• Total dry weight for all components, plumbing, electrical, liner, and steel; 800 lbs. 
• The crate of all components for international delivery is 4' wide x 7' long x 6' high = 168 cubic feet. (add 100 lbs. for crating.)
• The pool has a 110 GFCI 20A electrical requirement for heating and filtration. If a 220 system is preferred please have your electrician contact The Vertical Pool for proper wire and breaker sizing.

  The Swimhorse support frame is no longer automatically included in the purchase price. Many patients have difficulty managing the frame without assistance. It is recommended that you review this optional feature before ordering one, at $400, to determine whether it would be useful or if it's too cumbersome.

  It is advisable that the pool have a roof or shade cover to avoid over exposure to sun and wind. This device has insulated components and an insulated cover, but it is not recommended to be placed outdoors in winter weather without protection or an enclosure, preferably heated. The pool should not be drained for any lengthy period, only to clean and refill. If left empty, the liner can become brittle and crack.

The lower tub hole needs to be completed by the home owner before a pool can be loaded for delivery. There are many potential obstacles in the ground that would preclude the practicality of a pool being delivered for installation until the hole is cleared and prepped.
